Future of Project Management
❔ Is project management the right career path for me?
⏰ What is the Future of Project Management?
❔ What about AI taking over all Project Manager jobs in the short future?
I have heard all these questions in the past 3-4 weeks.
When I did my little research PMI statement popped out right away:
"According to figures from Project Management Institute (PMI), the global economy will need 25 million new project professionals by 2030, and closing this gap will require 2.3 million people to enter project management-oriented employment (PMOE) every year just to keep up with demand."
⌚ Now, we are moving towards this direction.
Wherever I look, there is a project manager role. Few examples:
☝️ Company needs a new training program - PM required
☝️ Company wanted to have a new client - PM required
☝️ Company would like to attract more talent - PM required
☝️ Company is running a "service" project(technology project which need it just to "survive" - PM required
☝️ Company would like to increase business - PM required
For the next decade and more Project Management is on Massive Demand.
You should consider it as a LIFE SKILL.
⭐ Planning
⭐ Communication
⭐ Problem solving
⭐ Leadership
If you want to demonstrate your commitment to the career path consider taking the CAPM or PMP certifications.
It will give you lots of advantages.
Ask for help sooner rather later
As a Project Manager you are a self-driven individual, who takes the lead and makes things happen.
Asking for help? - It is not an option.
Why?
📢 Because, you are the Leader
📢 Because, you are Responsible
📢 Because, you know the Next steps
Here are few tips how you can manage challenging situations:
✅ Don't pretend you know everything
✅ Manage your people, not just your documentation
✅ Build a bridge for a two-way trust
✅ Be the person who keeps work organized
✅ Learn what inspires your team, to achieve success together
✅ Clarify everyone's roles & responsibilities
✅ Don't be afraid of failure, learn from it
✅ ASK QUESTIONS and ASK FOR HELP, if need it
Seek support/advice from your Mentor and Project Peer's
Issues/problems will happen inevitably. It’s easy to feel paralyzed, but as Project Manager you stay calm, evaluate the options and take action.
